If you knew the potential damage sugar can cause to your teeth, then you would cut down our intake of sugary stuff like sodas, ice creams, sweets, and chocolates. In as much as sugar is vital for normal functioning of the body, too much of it is known to come with a myriad of health concerns, and not just those to do with obesity alone. How to stop tooth decay
One of the best ways to avoid tooth decay would be to avoid eating too much sugar. This should not be seen as a condemnation of sugar from your entire diet, but you should take it moderately and ensure that you brush your teeth properly once you are done. You should also avoid eating sweet things when you are just about to go to bed or after brushing your teeth in the evening. This will allow the bacteria more time to cause damage to your mouth, and if you do it for a long time, the results will be devastating.
